Carmen is a Chartered Professional Accountant and the Financial Controller at MBAC.
After an early career as a touring professional dancer, Carmen completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Victoria followed by her Master of Professional Accounting degree at the University of Saskatchewan. She articled with KPMG in Calgary and upon completing her Chartered Accountant designation in 2008, accepted an overseas secondment to Melbourne, Australia. Not ready to return north, she stayed “down under” for a few more years to gain industry experience, specifically in the retirement living sector. Upon returning to Calgary in 2012, she was a Corporate Controller at a national commercial real estate firm. Carmen joined MBAC in 2023.
