Carrie Richardson
Project Coordinator/Designer
Intern Architect, AAA
Carrie was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She holds a diploma in Architectural Drafting from Nova Scotia Community College, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Calgary. Upon graduating, she was recognized with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Honour Roll Award and is now a sessional instructor with the University of Calgary’s Bachelor of Design in City Innovation program.
With an early interest in fine arts and an aptitude for mathematics, Carrie chose the field of architecture to combine her artistic abilities and pragmatic thinking into one endeavor. Influenced by the rugged coastal landscapes of her hometown, Carrie’s interests now lie in cultural responsiveness to place and the significance of material culture.
Prior to joining MBAC in 2024, Carrie gained valuable experience in both NS and AB, working on a diverse range of projects from large institutional to small design-build.
