Kalie Widmer

Born and raised in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia, Kalie began her architectural studies at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, where she earned a diploma in architectural technology.
With a desire to broaden and deepen her knowledge of the built environment, Kalie continued her education at the University of Calgary, completing a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and a master’s degree in Architecture. Kalie was recognized with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Honour Roll Certificate and the AIA Henry Adams Medal for achievements in the Master of Architecture program.
Since joining MBAC in 2017, Kalie has continued to explore the built environment by seeking to improve the quality of experiences and connections within all landscapes and challenging assumptions of what space can and should be.
Kalie is an Architect, AAA, and a Certified Passive House Designer.
